FAQ
How is body shape determined?
Body shape is classified based on the ratios between bust, waist, and hip measurements. The algorithm uses thresholds from standardized fashion industry criteria to assign one of several common body shape categories.
What is waist-to-hip ratio (WHR)?
WHR is your waist circumference divided by your hip circumference. According to the WHO, a WHR above 0.85 for women or 0.90 for men indicates increased health risk related to abdominal fat distribution.
Does this work for men?
The body shape classification is primarily designed for female body types based on fashion industry standards. For men, the WHR remains a useful health metric. Male body shapes are typically described differently (trapezoid, inverted triangle, rectangle, oval).
